Sudbury police arrest male wanted on Canada-Wide warrant for murder

SUDBURY–Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service arrested a male wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant for Murder, in relation to a night club shooting that occurred on May 4th in Winnipeg. The shooting resulted in the death of one man and serious injuries to three others.

At approx. 6:00 a. m. on May 8th, acting on information from the Winnipeg Police Service, officers assigned to the Greater Sudbury Police Service Criminal Investigations Division, Tactical and Drug Units, and Uniform Division attended the train station in Capreol.

The accused was arrested without incident and will be making a court appearance later today in Sudbury.

The Winnipeg Police Service will be holding a Media briefing today at 12 p.m. (Winnipeg time).
