Spring Bay Rural Route

May 11—As I write this morning it’s very dull and cold.

Elwood and Bernice Lewis were over and visited with me last Tuesday afternoon.

At the euchre on Tuesday night at Providence Bay they had nine tables.

Allen and Rosemarie and David and Connie visited me yesterday and took me out for a Mother’s Day dinner. We had a nice meal. Rosemarie and Connie enjoyed their meal too.

A number of people enjoyed the luncheon, bake sale, etc. at the community centre in Mindemoya on Saturday morning sponsored by the Hospital Auxiliary.

Sunday was a busy day at the restaurants serving Mother’s Day brunch and dinner to so many mothers.

I have some tulips out but things are slow. I’m sure the greenhouses are finding that too.

I talked to Mieke Delange on the phone for Mother’s Day and she is doing very well.

Royce and Margaret Young had Mother’s Day dinner on Sunday with Royce and Tracey and family. Tracey sent dinner to her mother Heather as she doesn’t get around too well.

Elwood and Bernice Lewis had some of their family home for Mother’s Day.

Irwin and Irene MacIntyre had some of their family home for Mother’s Day and went out for dinner.

Reverend Bain and Lynda Peever had some of their family home for Mother’s Day.

Get well wishes and prayers to all who are sick.

We extend sympathy to the Arnold family in the sudden passing of Harold. He was an avid curler and curled with our family for many years. He will be sadly missed.

Have a good week!
