Changes, changes, changes! Since our regular meeting on March 10, the casserole dinner was postponed and the tuck cart\HELPP Lottery have been closed until further notice. Chips, chocolate bars and other products will be available for purchase from the showcase. These changes have been taken in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Public Health Sudbury and Districts encourages social distancing so face to face meetings and gatherings should be avoided. Thank you to all who held on to their casserole dinner tickets. They will be accepted when the “Best Dinner in Town” is rescheduled. Also on hold is the donation of $16,950 which was to be made at the casserole dinner for the purchase of the incubator for blood culture bottles. Thank you for your support of auxiliary fundraisers that enabled us to make the purchase that will be more efficient and save costs. Results would be available at least 24 hours faster. This equipment shows your donations at work!
Discussions were held concerning the Car Club Rally Auction on Haweater Weekend and celebration of the 75th Anniversary of an auxiliary to the hospital in Little Current. If you have any old pictures of members or events from the past, please call Laila (705-368-2580).
A new member was welcomed. At a time when we really need help in our events and regular activities we warmly welcomed Linda Diebel. Come on friends, become a member. For $2 a year you can make a difference. Remember that the MHC Auxiliary also welcomes men.
A special thank you to Phyllis Turner, a long-time member and staunch supporter of the MHC Auxiliary for at least 60 years. She donated some beautiful hand knit baby bonnets and booties.
The next regular meeting and annual meeting are scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 at 7 pm in the multi-purpose room. Members will be notified if there are changes.
In the meantime, take precautions. Wash your hands and practice social distancing! Stay healthy!
