LITTLE CURRENT—Members of the Manitoulin Centennial Manor/ Little Current Public Library Book Buddies program were the first to view the library’s new summer art show this past Friday, featuring the work of over 15 Island artists.

The Manor residents and Book Buddies volunteers enjoyed refreshments provided by the library as they viewed the diverse show.

The collection has something for everyone’s tastes and budget, with media varying from oil, photography, watercolour, silkscreen, mix media and acrylic, and prices starting at $50. As an added bonus, a percentage of each piece sold goes towards the library art program.

The subject matter of the work is also diverse from the docks in Kagawong to the Little Current Swing Bridge.

The summer art show is on at the Little Current Public Library until Tuesday, September 8.  The library is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays 10 am to 8 pm, Fridays from 12 to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm.
