Manitoulin OPP asking for all fans to come out to the Torch Run

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics was held in Mindemoya last year (2018).

(MINDEMOYA, ON) -On Friday, June 28, 2019, members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be participating in the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, sponsored by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police. This year, the Torch Run will commence at 10 a.m. from the Mindemoya OPP Detachment and finish back at the Mindemoya Detachment. All ages are welcome to attend and run, jog, walk or bike.

All funds that are raised across the province help provide a year-round program of fitness, recreation and competition for the Special Olympic Athletes.

Following the run, there will be a social held at the Mindemoya OPP detachment. You can also show your support by purchasing a Torch Run T-shirt for $20 from Constable Marie Ford. Please come and join us for some cheering and get your T-shirt.
