KAGAWONG – It is a demonstration of generous community support and partnership for the Angel Bus.

“Before last Christmas we had approached local (Kagawong) artist Jenna Carter about doing the art work of the Angel Bus for a card that we could use for the front of a new thank you card that we provide to people for supporting the Angel Bus,” said Sandy Cook, one of the members of the Angel Bus co-ordinating committee.

“Jenna agreed to do the artwork and she painted the Angel Bus, and along with the cards, envelopes were done as well,” said Ms. Cook. She pointed out OJ Graphix of Espanola donated the printing and Laidley Stationery in Little Current donated the envelopes.

“Now we have 500 note cards and envelopes to use for our donation thank yous,” continued Ms. Cook. “They are really nice little cards,” who added, it was “awesome” how everyone came together to help support the project.

The Angel Bus is a volunteer initiative providing accessible transportation to adults on Western Manitoulin Island.
