KAGAWONG – Bare Naked Beauty nail technician Cassy Baker is keeping busy at the Kagawong beauty products retailer and spa to help her clients look their best.
“Seeing how happy my clients are after they’re done is the best part. It’s crazy what a coat of paint will do to someone’s nails,” she says.
While her work focus is firmly on fingers and toes, Ms. Baker has recently begun working on building a ‘manicured’ garden at home to add some colour in the tough global times.
“I’ve been taking advantage of COVID and I’ve planted a mix of annual and perennial flowers,” she says, adding that she may expand to vegetables in the future.
In addition to spending time with friends, family and her husband, she has an eight-year-old Pomeranian named Lily that keeps her on her toes.
Continuing to help people feel good and look their best during challenging times has been a positive experience overall, despite its challenges.
“Masks can be impersonal but we’ve adjusted well. The changes we’ve made are worth it,” she says.
