LITTLE CURRENT – The Little Current Lions Club has been hard at work since early this fall, planning another fun-filled Haweater Weekend for August 2020.

“We’ve got a lot in store for 2020,” said Lion President Bruce Burnett. “I think fans of Haweater Weekend will be very pleased.”

Lion Bruce said he wished to clear the air on some recent Haweater Weekend misconceptions.

“Haweater Weekend is in no way affiliated with the Manitoulin Marijuana Festival, which just happens to fall on Haweater Weekend,” he told The Expositor.

The president said he was sorry that the marijuana festival organizers had not approached the club when they were first planning the event.

“Our club is hard at work to bring Manitoulin some quality family entertainment,” Lion Bruce added. “So stay tuned.”
