PROVIDENCE BAY—This weekend marks the 5th annual Ride Manitoulin motorcycle rally in Providence Bay.
The fun kicks off Friday, July 17 with the gates opening at 10 am, followed by the beer gardens at 11 am.
There will be a point of interest ride from 5 to 8 pm, with live entertainment after from the Johnny Williams Trio and Blackwater.
Saturday, start the day with a biker breakfast at 7 am. Registration and gates open at 8 am, while the poker run starts at 9 am.
Vendors will open their booths at 10 am. The adventure ride will also head out at 10 am.
From 10 am to 3 pm the Manitoulin Island Dirt Riders Association (MIDRA) will be racing. Admission is $5.
The beer garden will open back up at 11 am and the scenic ride will begin.
From 4 to 6 pm there will be a show ’n shine.
Biker games will take place from 6 to 8 pm, which is always a crowd favourite, and the winner of the poker run, show ‘n shine and door prizes will be announced at 8 pm.
The Johnny Williams Trio and Blackwater will hit the stage for an encore performance.
The gates will open at 8 am on Sunday morning, with vendors starting at 10 am.
MIDRA racing will take place again from 10 am to 3 pm.
Weekend passes include camping and are $30 per bike and rider and $20 per passenger. Daily walk-in passes are available for $10.
Each year proceeds from the event are donated to a charity. This year’s proceeds will be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
