STUDENT NUTRITION SERVICES PROVIDER

We are currently accepting proposals from individuals who are service-focused and interested in providing student nutrition and event catering services internally to Kenjgewin Teg: light breakfast and lunch will be required for both Kenjgewin Teg locations: main campus and the Anishinabek Skills, Innovation and Research Centre.
Student Nutrition Services Provider:
The Student Nutrition Services Provider will be responsible for the planning and provision of the complimentary breakfast and lunch programs offered to students at Kenjgewin Teg. The Student Nutrition Services Provider will work part-time, 5 (five) days per week, and will research healthy, well-balanced meals for students, as well, as preparation of food to be served daily and ensure the kitchen facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and hygienic environment. The Student Nutrition Services provider will occasionally be required to cater for internal meetings/events as they occur or are requested. Responsibilities will also include, but not limited to, maintaining inventory order, stock and replenish kitchen and food supplies, maintain accurate cash float, prepare food budgets for review and approval by management prior to ordering, and maintain a positive relationship with staff and student population.
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Experience in event planning is considered an asset;
- Reliability, ability to work independently with minimal supervision are definite assets,
- Must have a minimum of one-year experience in the food service industry;
- Must possess and provide a valid copy of Safe Food Handler’s Certification;
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle,

- Copy of contract to include 20 hours of on-site work and hourly rate proposed should the hours required go beyond 20 hours in a week
- Copy of valid Safe Food Handlers Certification
- Two letters of reference, current (must be dated within the last year)
