Traffic stop on Highway 17 leads to drug seizure

ESPANOLA – An officer from the Espanola OPP detachment conducted a traffic stop on January 9, 2014 in McKerrow at about 4:45 pm on Highway 17. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 251.1 grams of cannabis marihuana with a street value of approximately $10,072.00 and 60 grams of Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) with a street value of approximately $1,200.00. The male driver and female passenger were arrested and held for bail. Two male passengers were also arrested and released.

Lawrence LOUISON (39 yrs) of Regina, Saskatchewan has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Sherilyn PAUL (40yrs) of Broadview, Saskatchewan has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
